make a difference
I was watching the news last night and couldn't believe the photos I saw from Haiti. I was in tears last night. These poor people have suffered so much and its not like it was just one storm... its been storm, after storm, after storm. I believe Ike was the fourth storm in the last month? That's outrageous!
A friend of mine came up with the great idea of taking donations for the people who have been tragically affected by the recent storms that have hit the Caribbean. I'm asking everyone to please just take a few minutes to look through your closets and donate anything that you do not use. My friend Ambar and I both are offering to even pick up these items over the weekend and drop them off at Channel 7. I'm sure we all have things that we don't use that we can donate. If you don't have any items you would like to donate but would like to help, please send me a message.

Great idea! Every little bit helps.
I agree. I'm spreading the word, and on saturday I will have things for you. I'm glad you chose a known location where we are confident to know that are donations would be safe.
O I feel so flattered that some one who is not of Haitian descent is trying to help make a difference. Yes those pictures was very devastating to see. Well unfortunately a few of my friends and I already have something going of our own so I won't be able to contribute. But just so you and everyone else who might be reading this knows, if you don't want to go to Channel 7, Local Fire Stations are also collecting. Once again on behalf of my "Haitian People" THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!!!! Let me know when you are collecting for other countries :)
