I was watching the news last night and couldn't believe the photos I saw from Haiti. I was in tears last night. These poor people have suffered so much and its not like it was just one storm... its been storm, after storm, after storm. I believe Ike was the fourth storm in the last month? That's outrageous! A friend of mine came up with the great idea of taking donations for the people who have been tragically affected by the recent storms that have hit the Caribbean. I'm asking everyone to please just take a few minutes to look through your closets and donate anything that you do not use. My friend Ambar and I both are offering to even pick up these items over the weekend and drop them off at Channel 7. I'm sure we all have things that we don't use that we can donate. If you don't have any items you would like to donate but would like to help, please send me a message.
Hello everyone!
My name is Ashley. I'm 24 years young, I attended Hialeah Senior High School where I was a big time nerd and cared about nothing at all except school. But hey, it worked out, I earned a full paid scholarship to attend the lovely Miami Dade College, yippey! I earned my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 2006 and continued to earn my Bachelors Degree. I expect to graduate this semester in December. I will begin working in the Criminal Justice Field at the end of this month and I am very excited to say the least. I care about politics, global warming, natural disasters, the elderly, autism, and many other current events. I watch the news everyday (its a must) and I actually enjoy school.
My husband and I have been together for eight years and he is studying to be a chef. So it works out, he cooks! I can't complain :]
